The government tax service (HMRC) have plans to develop their digital links with people and business. The slogan for this is ‘making tax digital’ or MTD. The first deadline is March 2019 where business is over the VAT threshold (currently £85,000 sales) have to be using accounts software with a direct digital link to HMRC.
